Seminar "Relational Leadership" of

on 17/11/2008, at 20:45, at the University College Torleone , was held the second meeting of the seminar "Personal Leadership". The speaker was Eng. Federico Cassoli. The seminar is part of the meetings of the Programme FIRE.
's argument was that it was the style of leadership.

Leadership style

The effectiveness of the style of leadership is not given by his conviction, but by the perception that have the others: it is essential to obtain feedback and evaluate the environment (organization, staff, colleagues, superiors) about the way you set the relationships with employees. It 'also important to pay attention to the expectations of the group.
For example, a group that has strong needs for autonomy employed by a leader who wants to subject its employees to a strict control will most likely lead to negative results. Similarly, a manager who tries to persuade a group of people accustomed to obedience and obedient to act on its own probably will generate a feeling of dismay and lack of guidance.
A leader must know how to effectively assess the maturity of persons submitted to it and the group, which intends to maturity of the union of ability and willingness to assume responsibility to guide their behavior.
In other words, there may be people who are able but not responsible, and vice versa: in all four possible conditions of maturity detectable. We note, however, that the maturity level is contextual to a specific task: there may be tasks in which a person is highly responsible, and others where it is demotivated.
The leader must adapt their leadership style depending on the maturity of its employees or group, and depending on the task da effettuare.
